Story

The idea for HealthShopMag was born in 2020 — in a place where you probably wouldn’t expect it: a shopping mall in China.

At the time, I was working in China and discovered the fascinating world of superfoods. On the shelves: Maca, Spirulina, Ashwagandha, Chlorella, Açaí — all in excellent quality and abundance. I was instantly hooked. I bought different kinds of these natural treasures and, together with some Chinese friends, a simple tea cooker. From that moment on, it became my daily ritual: every day, I prepared a superfood tea.

As I drank this blend, the idea grew: why not build a company in Switzerland that brings people this kind of energy and vitality?

But shortly after I returned home, the Covid pandemic put everything on hold. Instead of giving up, I kept my personal ritual alive — every day that tea, every day the same certainty: this is something that could help others just as much as it helps me.

In 2025, my friend Vince and I picked up the project again. We developed the website and created our first products: two tea sets — one for two weeks, one for a full month — in practical powder form. Our customers love it because it fits effortlessly into their daily routine.

Our next goal is clear: direct import of real Maca from Peru. I have a personal connection to a farmers’ association at 4,000 meters altitude that cultivates Maca of exceptional purity. With the required capital, we want to integrate this resource into our products and create another leap in quality and effectiveness.

Today, HealthShopMag is ready for the next step. We’re looking for investors who believe in honest, sustainable, and functional nutrition. The path isn’t easy — but my motivation hasn’t faded. Because I know from experience: this tea can change lives.

Markus Gschwind – Founder of HealthShopMag

It's a combination of biochemistry, the nervous system, and perception.

Yes – this feeling of flow that spreads throughout the entire body can be easily explained without resorting to esotericism

It's a combination of biochemistry, the nervous system, and perception.

... Let me explain it to you clearly and seriously:

Your nervous system switches into "flow mode"

When you drink the tea and feel good, the following often happens:

The parasympathetic nervous system (relaxation, regeneration) is activated

Stress hormones like cortisol decrease

The body shifts from "fight/stress" to "flow/balance"

This feels like:

Warmth

Expansiveness

Calm energy

"Everything is connected"

Blood flow and microcirculation improve

Many plant compounds (e.g., from maca, astragalus, ashwagandha, spirulina):

Support the blood vessels

Improve oxygen supply

Promote microcirculation

This can feel like:

Gentle tingling

Even energy throughout the body

Not a "kick," but a constant flow

Adaptogens = Balance instead of a Boost

An important point:

Your tea contains adaptogens.

Adaptogens:

don't artificially boost performance

but rather help the body regain balance

If your body was previously out of balance (stress, fatigue, inner restlessness), the return to balance will feel very noticeable.

Neurotransmitters react (gently!)

Without drugs, without stimulants:

Gentle support of dopamine (motivation)

Serotonin (well-being)

Improved brain-body connection

Result:

Clear thoughts

Pleasant presence in the body

Flow instead of nervousness

Ritual + perception enhance the effect

Very important (and perfectly legitimate):

Warm drink

Conscious moment

Smell, taste

Break in everyday life

This enhances the effect via brain-body feedback

→ Not a placebo in the negative sense, but biological amplification

Why it spreads "throughout the whole body"

Because the following are affected:

Nervous system

Blood flow

Metabolism

Perception

This is not a local effect (like coffee in the head),

but a systemic state.

Important, honest note

This feeling of flow is:

individual

dependent on daily condition, stress, and sleep

not a promise of healing

not a drug effect

But: It is real, biologically explainable, and not a coincidence.

In short: Your body moves from stress and deficiency

back into balance and flow

→ that feels like flow.

Risiken und Herausforderungen

Direct Market Competition The superfood market is growing rapidly, but there is currently no direct competitor in Switzerland offering a comparable combination of premium maca, functional adaptogens, and a clean-label philosophy. This gives us a distinct competitive advantage. Key Challenge – Sourcing Maca from Peru Our primary raw material, premium maca grown at 4,000 meters in Peru, comes from a small farming cooperative. The partnership is exclusive, but it requires investment in logistics, quality control, and pre-financing. Solution: We aim to secure the supply chain long term by establishing fixed purchase agreements and working with the cooperative to build a sustainable cultivation and export structure. Additional Operational Risks – Lead times for overseas shipments Solution: Safety stock and staggered ordering. – Rising transport costs Solution: Volume bundling and long-term contracts. – Currency fluctuations Solution: Hedging options based on fixed volumes.
